Twilight Cellars Description

The history of Twilight Cellars is lengthy and enchanting and a visit to the modern day winery tasting room helps bring the wineries’ engaging history to life.

The winery began in 1975, with the name Hoffman Mountain Ranch. Dr. Stanley Hoffman and his illustrious winemaker Andre Tchelistcheff were the brains behind one of the first modern wineries in Paso Robles. The wines have evolved over time, as has the wineries’ name, which was recently changed to Twilight Cellars. Though the name of the winery has changed, the new owners, Richard and Aurora Gumerman continue the wineries’ dedication to finely crafted wine.

The winery offers everything from Rhone varietals such as Viognier and Mourvedre, to Bordeaux varietals, as well as dessert wines including their Mundo Viejo Port.

The Gumerman’s are very passionate about making wines that pair well with the foods that people love. To help illustrate this winemaking style, they offer appetizers paired with specific wines that they are pouring. Be sure to enjoy their wine and food pairings so that you can truly appreciate the wineries’ focus on food friendly wines by design.
