Villa La Brenta, set in its own 65 acre vineyard, inspired by a design of Andrea Palladio, the 16th century Venetian architect, for Count Ottavianno Thiene. Never built, its spirit graces the Villa La Brenta.
Ideal as a wedding or event venue, facilities accommodate as many as 200 diners on extensive terraces overlooking vineyards and gardens. Multiple options exist for ceremony sites- within the vineyard, vine covered Pergola, or from terraces of the Villa itself. Constructed to function as a Wine Country Inn, the villa serves special event needs–both business and private–with its generous terraces, gardens,conference rooms and spectacular views complemented by the ambience of the architectural inspiration.
Flora and fauna of Blue Oak Canyon include, naturally, the California Blue Oak, the most nurturing habitat for many varieties of birds. Raptors like the Goshawk include a nesting couple returning year after year to the Blue Oak Canyon Vineyard.
Animal corridors bisect the property both in width and length, providing for interesting nature walks, or picnic within the vineyard itself while enjoying your favorite Villa La Brenta wine.
Volcanic, rocky, hilly soil makes for stressed vines which limit the yield and produce the best, most intense fruit—a superb terroir for red wine production. Villa La Brenta produces two different estate grown grape varieties. They are Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, available as single varieties and blends. Premium white grape variety wines can also be enjoyed.
