Villa del Monte Winery is an award-winning, family-owned boutique winery in Los Gatos, CA. Located in the picturesque Santa Cruz Mountains, they specialize in Chardonnay, Cabernet, Merlot, Pinot, Syrah, Syrah Rosé, and Zinfandel, producing extraordinary single-varietal, single-vineyard wines that reflect the terroir of the vineyards. The small lots of wine allow them to meticulously control quality, nurturing them at every step in the process. |

 Shep Tsheptaylor, Georgetown The owners, John Overstreet and Neil Perrelli, were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Villa del Monte is a relatively small, boutique winery but the quality of the operation is surpassed only by the quality of the wine. I am particularly fond of the 2006 Merlot Reserve and the 2010 Malbec. The former is a perfectly aged, smooth wine with a rich burgundy color. The latter is a full-bodied wine with robust tannins.
