Wend-Tyler Winery is owned and operated by David and Suzanne Tyler of Modesto, California. They started the winery in 2001 and released the first vintage of our "2001 Wend-Tyler Chardonnay" on November 9, 2002. The Chardonnay grapes used for this wine come from a thirty four year old vineyard in Modesto. The vineyard is owned by the Wend Family; Loretta, Kathleen and Suzanne. By farming their own grapes they have ultimate control of the quality of fruit used in our wines. Better fruit makes better wine! The winery is located in the center of a 70 acre vineyard on the northeast corner of Shoemake Avenue and Gates Road.
