Williamson Wines Description

Australian-born husband-and-wife team, Dawn and Bill Williamson
focus on producing limited quantities of premium quality California
wines, estate grown in the unique location, soil and climate of Dry
Creek Valley in Sonoma County, California.

Williamson Wines maintains a tradition of producing premium grapes. Wines are first made in the vineyard and then achieve their maximum potential through his caring winemaking practices. The wines are made in small lots and include Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Malbec, Semillon and Viognier.

The downtown tasting room is just off the main square. The cozy room is bright and and attractive with updated design and a friendly staff. Three generations of the Williamson family live in Dry Creek Valley. The business is small and family operated.

Cheers to the vine, San Francisco
I was somewhat surprised to not find any reviews on Williamson. We discovered Bill and Dawn's storefront just off Healdsburg square about 2-3 years ago now. We happened to be in Healdsburg during Passport Weekend and did not want to spend most of our afternoon fighting for elbow room on Dry Creek. Williamson is by far my favorite winery in Sonoma County. Their wines are absolutely delicious and they provide complimentary tastings and pairings - yes pairings! You will most likely be greeted by Dawn or Bill Williamson and invited to taste several varietals. With each glass, you will be given a small bite which has been chosen to pair with the wines. If you are fortunate to taste with the owners, they will guide you through each taste and take you for a truly magnificent experience in every glass. Their wine sells itself. The Williamson's are honest winemakers who love what they do. You will discover during your visit, the Williamson's make their wine for others to enjoy and you will! This winery is worth the trip! Down to the favorites: Meritage Cabernet Franc 2008 Cabernet DCV 2005 Chardonnay 2006 Amourette, 2007 is also great Another perk for those tasting in the area - their tasting room is open until 7pm!
