Wilson Creek Winery & Vineyards Description

It takes eight adult Wilson family members to manage this entertaining and lively destination winery found seven miles east of Interstate 15 in the Temecula Valley. Warm hospitality in a relaxed atmosphere greets visitors, along with a full range of California varietals, sparkling wines, dessert wines and some unique white wines made from traditional red grapes.

The winery sits adjacent to a small seasonal creek and a tree-shaded picnic ground complete with tables and a children’s play structure. Gardens and vineyards surround the winery and tasting room. Inside the generous 5,400-square-foot tasting room is a marketplace with unique wine-related merchandise, tapestries, select glassware and clothing.

There are two tasting bars with attentive and lively staff members (usually one or more is a Wilson family member) to guide you through their many wines. Be sure to try their “Almond Champagne,” and ask about the “Dutch chocolate shot glass” to add some extra flavors to your tasting experience.

A 7,600 sq ft. event facilities has been added to host receptions, corporate events and a variety of special events. The winery hosts jazz and classical concerts, weddings, grape stomps, comedy dinner theaters, luaus, cigar nights, and many charity fundraisers at their pavilion, gazebo and jazz stage.

Chocolate Dream!
murphede, Fernley
Love this winery! The owner is very nice, the staff is knowledgeable and super friendly! My parents are members and take us as guests to whenever we visit. Every time we have to get the chocolate dessert wine served in the chocolate shot glass and we always end up leaving with a bottle of the White Cabernet Sauvignon which is an absolute favorite for our whole group! Love it!

Almond Champagne
Evaree, Los Angeles
This tasting room gets very crowded. The wine sommeliers were not very talkative and were always on the prowl to get your tasting tickets. The almond champagne is the best champagne in Temecula. It is what put Wilson Creek on the map. I do not care much for the rest of their wines, but I do come back for the Almond Champagne almost every visit to wine country.

Great place to stop for a picnic, but we did not like any of the wine. The place is all about their almond champagne

Awesome chocolate port
ansmom, San Diego
Purchased the 'Decadencia' port and 2008 Chardonney. It was very crowded so I had to wait longer than I like, but the pourers were pleasant and gave me the short pours I requested. The outside area was large and plenty of seats, for eating and area for the kids to play. Overall pleasant wine but I'd rather go on an off day,
